Drug cases in schools will be investigated: Tudravu

Any drug related cases reported in schools will be investigated by police.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu says as drugs become an increasing concern in schools- police will continue with their awareness.

Tudravu stressed that police cannot tackle the issue of drugs alone and will need the help of the community and schools as well to play their roles.

“Especially at the schools, we have been coming out loud and clear that we will investigate all cases in schools. Even though there are internal policies that are guiding them with regards to that but if somebody has breached the law, police will come in to investigate”

Meanwhile, 34 Police officers from operations, investigations and forensics department continue with their two week workshop on Narcotics Law Enforcement as police continue the fight against drugs in the country.
