Drivers requested to be courteous

November 25, 2017 4:00 am

Drivers are requested to cooperate and be courteous to other road users when using the Vatuwaqa Bridge in Suva.

Police Chief of Operations, ACP Rusiate Tudravu, says an officer has been posted to monitor drivers and they have found that drivers are failing to follow the lights at the bridge.

ACP Tudravu says drivers continue to run the red lights, therefore depriving the opposite side enough time to drive through resulting in a long que of vehicles.

He says while the road works may cause some inconvenience for now, the drivers need to think of others and be patient.
