Driver released from hospital after fatal accident

A 42-year-old driver who was involved in an accident where two women in their sixties died at Waimalika in Nadi, two weeks ago, has been released from hospital.

Chief of Intelligence and Investigation, ACP Vakacegu Toduadua says the man is still undergoing medical examinations.

ACP Toduadua says the man will not be questioned by Police, until he is medically fit.

He is alleged to have fallen asleep on the wheel when the vehicle veered off the opposite lane and collided head-on with a bus.

The two victims were passengers in the vehicle driven by the man, heading towards Lautoka when the accident occurred.

One of the women was the mother of the driver.
