The driver of the ten wheeler truck plunged into the sea at the Vunisea jetty in Kadavu was airlifted to the CWM hospital in Suva yesterday.

He is admitted at the Intensive Care Unit ward.

Police says the suspect was driving the ten wheeler truck accompanied by two others.

While trying to reverse the truck at the Jetty, he allegedly lost control of the vehicle due to loose gravel causing the truck to plunge into the sea.

All three managed to swim to safety.

The two passengers were treated and sent home while the driver sustained serious injuries and has been brought to Suva for treatment.

Investigation continues.
