The truck driver who was allegedly involved in an accident that resulted in the death of a farmer will be questioned by police soon.

This after the post mortem result of the victim reveals he died as a result of injuries sustained during a motor vehicle accident.

The incident happened on Monday along the Wainikoro Road in Labasa.

The victim was walking along the road when he was allegedly hit by a twelve wheeler truck which was heading towards Labasa town.

He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Labasa Hospital.

The road death toll currently stands at 51 compared to 47 for the same period last year.
