The thirty-year-old driver who allegedly caused the death of a woman in Valelevu, Nasinu two weeks ago appeared in the Suva High court today.
Viliame Ratoto is charged with one count of manslaughter, two counts of dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm and one count of breach of zero alcohol limit.
Its alleged Ratoto lost control of the vehicle and hit three pedestrians at Kanace road in Valelevu.
The victims were rushed to the hospital and one of the three pedestrians, a thirty-year-old woman was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The second victim passed away a few days later while the third victim has been discharged from the hospital.
The state today informed the court that they will be filing information and disclosures.
Ratoto has been remanded in custody.
The matter has been adjourned to October 9th.
