The driver alleged to have caused the death of a man from Navutulevu earlier this week was charged.

He was produced in the Navua Magistrates Court yesterday.

The accused 31-year-old Tomasi Tekubulevu Matia of Vunaniu Serua was charged with one count of dangerous driving occasioning death, one count of dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm and one count of failure to supply sufficient sample for breath analysis upon direction of a Police Officer.

Matia appeared before Magistrates Thenakoon and has been further remanded.

The case will be recalled on the 23rd of October.
