*Police are now waiting for the post mortem of a man alleged to have been assaulted by a doctor in the Suva yesterday. *

Police Spokesperson, Ana Naisoro says it’s alleged the doctor assaulted the victim when he saw the man with a boy crying.

Naisoro says the man drove to Totogo Police station where he let go of the steering wheel and lost consciousness.

Police officers came to assist the man whereby they saw the boy in the vehicle.

The man was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The doctor is now in custody and being questioned by the police.
