“Do not undermine the foundations of our economy for Political gain.”
This was stated by Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum while responding to claims made by SODELPA Leader Sitiveni Rabuka that Fiji owes large sums of money to China.
Sayed-Khaiyum says irrespective of any political party, politicians should stop giving false claims about Fiji’s economy.
Sayed-Khaiyum says only ordinary Fijians will suffer if Politicians continue to make false accusations.
“There are certain matters that we all need to take a very by partisan approach, a national approach and this involves the economy, so some people just because they have decided this is the strategy to win votes, so they will say let’s go and contradict to undermine as far as the economy is concern”.
Sayed-Khaiyum says this practice does not portray a good image to the investors who will want to come and invest in Fiji.
