Police are advising the public to refrain from parking their vehicles in isolated areas.

The warning comes after a couple was robbed at the Queen Elizabeth drive in Suva on Saturday night.

Acting Chief operations officer SSP Rusiate Tudravu says the couple was parked by the waterfront when they were forced out of their vehicle by an unknown youth who took the car keys and drove off.

The vehicle was later found abandoned at Kinoya and Police are now looking for the youth.
