Police officers in the Northern Division have been warned not to abuse their resources but use it for the benefit of serving the people.

The warning comes following the handing over of nine new police vehicles by Commissioner of Police Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho to police in Vanua Levu this morning.

The nine new vehicles are being handed over with the aim it will help Police in Vanua Levu with their operations.

Qiliho also warned that the Fiji Police Force will not be lenient on officers involved in accidents, with 5 cases recorded in Northern division in the recent months.

Five of the new vehicles will be used by the Labasa Police Station, Two for Seaqaqa Police and Savusavu and Nabouwalu Police will get one vehicle each.
