The Fiji Broadcasting Corporation organized “Diwali Dhamaka night” has been hailed a success.

The annual event hosted by FBC’s Hindi radio stations Radio Fiji Two and Mirchi FM drew a large crowd of people to Syria Park in Nausori last night.

Radio Fiji Two Programs Director – Pallavi Shweta says this was the first time such event has been organized for the residents of Nausori and neighbouring areas.

The program featured traditional dance and items by “Satsung Ramayan Mandali” from Lami.

Shweta says a lot of people gave positive feedback on “Ram Leela”, a drama based on Ramayan, which was performed by the group last night.

The program was held with an aim to promote culturalism and unity among people.
