Fijians can now purchase an e-ticketing disposable card from bus drivers if they misplaced or have forgotten their card.

Attorney General, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says people forget to carry their cards sometimes and this option will save them time and a lot of hassle.

“If you forgot your e-ticketing card then you can actually buy what we call a disposal card and those disposal cards are not only available at Vodafone outlets or other certified outlets but also on the buses themselves. So if you’re in a hurry to work and forgot your card, you can ask for a two dollar card and get a $2 card on the bus.”

While launching the e-card for bus services in Suva today, Sayed-Khaiyum also reminded bus operators they will be taken to task if an e-ticketing machine is not installed in their buses.

He adds bus drivers should have a supply of disposable cards at all times when travelling.
