The Fiji Military Forces and the Fiji Police Force took time off their duties and attended the thanksgiving service, yesterday.
This was part of the programme after the Sukuna Bowl match which was won by the RFMF Rugby team.
Chief of Police Operations, ACP Rusiate Tudravu says they were encouraged by the Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama who was at the service.
“The message from him is just to come and thank both the institutions on their job, providing safety and security and the future, after the Sukuna and continue the support that is given to the government.”
More than six hundred soldiers and police officers were at the Police Mobile Response Unit in eight miles where the service was held.
