Digicel Fiji, has announced that its network is now connected to the Suva-Savusavu submarine cable.

Chief Executive, Mike Greig says Digicel is celebrating ten years in Fiji and this new connection to the Savusavu cable system provides their customers with world-class internet speeds, reliable data and mobile phone experience.

Greig says the new system is more resilient and now reduces the risk of outages during cyclones, floods and bad weather conditions.

The Savusavu cable connects to the Tui Samoa undersea cable, providing a high-capacity and high-availability fiber optic link between Viti Levu and Vanua Levu.
