Rumours and suggestions of disorder within the Social Democratic Liberal Party is obvious, however, party members are denying it.
FBC News spoke to some senior members of the party including leader Sitiveni Rabuka and they say the party allows its members to raise their own opinions.
The Party’s Vice President, Pio Tabaiwalu has also confirmed that differences within members of a party is normal and is part and parcel of any political movement.
“The thing about Fijian political which I am quite surprised about is whenever you have an opposing view you call it differences but political parties in any organisation have disagreements and I think political party more or so and I think SODELPA party has a lot of intelligent people and very opinionated.”
SODELPA claims to have the best chance of forming the next government, however, signs show mixed feelings amongst senior members leading up to the general election.
Questions have also been raised on the rapid rise of Lynda Tabuya within the party.
Tabuya told FBC News that she deserves her spot in the party.
