Government will carry out developments in such a way to benefit people in the long run.
Minister for Rural and Maritime Development Dr. Mahendra Reddy made the statement while commissioning the Savolau Bore Hole Project in Nadi.
Dr. Reddy stressed that development projects of this nature will benefit the people in the long run and government will ensure that it is sustainable.
“Directly impacting the community and then that community achieving certain goals from the project and in the long run it will have a major impact”
Over four thousand residents will benefit from the new Bore Hole Water Project.
The Government is now focused on implementing development projects in the interior and maritime islands.
Visiting the interior of Nadi Dr Reddy reminded the Fijians that government will ensure there is equal distribution of projects.
“So we have made an important note that our policy making and budgetary allocation will ensure that we all go together whether we are in the interior or in a maritime response division.”
Reddy says improvements are needed and projects must be delivered with high quality.
