The Fiji First government has come a long way in carrying out development projects across the country.

This is the statement made by Prime Minister and Minister for iTaukei Affairs Voreqe Bainimarama while opening the Tailevu Provincial Council meeting in Ucunivanua, Verata today.

Bainimarama says his government will continue to carry out major developments where necessary.

“The Fiji First government has carried out a lot of developments not only in Tailevu, but right across the country. A classic example is the rural electrification project in remote and maritime areas”.

The Prime Minister has urged the Tailevu District Representatives to share challenges faced by the province that need to be addressed by the government.

Meanwhile, Bainimarama also launched the revamped official website of the Tailevu Provincial Council.

The provincial council meeting starts today and ends tomorrow.
