June 7, 2019 5:19 am

The Fiji Fashion industry local and regional designers will have solo shows to showcase their line at tonight’s Bottega Fijian Fashion Festival.

Fashion Council of Fiji chair and founder of the Fijian Fashion Festival, Faraz Ali says the Fiji Fashion industry is now at a stage where designers are engaging with the market in a way that is much stronger than in the past.

“Local designers are also beginning to export and because of this Fiji designers need stronger branding around their work to develop the markets more strongly and the solo shows are the best way to do that because you get to walk into the mind of the designer, our industry is maturing to a stage where designers can take control and responsibility for their branding and for what they do.”
