Demand for volunteers increase

There is now a growing demand for Fiji volunteers from around the Pacific.

To accommodate this, the Public Service Commission is now recruiting more retired teachers and engineers.

Since the Fiji Volunteer Scheme was launched in March this year, the demand for skilled personnel from Fiji continues to grow.

Permanent Secretary for the Public Service Commission Pramesh Chand says some teachers have already left for the Marshall Islands.

The Public Service Commission is now processing applications for those who have applied for volunteer work in Nauru and Kiribati.
