With our health services sometimes faced with a lot of criticism, Dr. Waqainabete says there are issues that can be solved on the spot.

“All the problems that are there in the hospitals, in the divisions can be solved by the people who run it and I have complete faith in them and one of the things that I have realized that 80 percent is system and 20 percent is people.”

Dr. Waqainabete is calling on doctors and nurses to bring real change to Fijians.

The Health Ministry is currently working on an institutional and managerial framework for high-quality productivity and services delivery within the Ministry.
