July 8, 2016 6:11 am

Police Commissioner Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho says there is a growing demand for female officers for overseas missions.

Speaking at the 2nd quarter parade held at the Special Response Unit Drill Square today, Brigadier General Qiliho said during his recent trip to New York, he was informed that more officers will be required to serve in new mission areas.

However, the Commissioner stressed, he wants only the very best and officers need to be mentally and physically fit for any mission.

Qiliho says before the last deployment, he was informed that certain individuals were waiting to be retested.

The Commissioner says if someone fails they won’t be given a second chance because Fiji’s quota could be given to another country.
