The delay in the construction work has postponed the opening of the Lagilagi Housing Project at Jittu Estate in Suva.
The project was supposed to be completed last month however work is still ongoing.
People Community Network National Director, Semiti Qalowasa says while awaiting the occupancy certificate, they are finalizing the 34 applicants to take up the units.
“The delay was basically based on the funding from government coming to us and also the Fortech they didnt complete the whole construction needs for the units. so what we have done now, we are completing that and trying to make sure that its ready for the people move in.”
Qalowasa says PCN is hoping to finalize names of successful applicants this week.
The second phase consists of forty two and three bedroom houses ranging from fifty to sixty thousand dollars.
