Near the mangrove swamp near Bailey Bridge along Nokonoko Road in Laucala Beach.

Police are investigating the discovery of a partly decomposed new born baby.

Police confirm two women from Delaivalelevu were fishing near the mangrove swamp near Bailey Bridge along Nokonoko Road in Laucala Beach when they noticed a shopping bag stuck among the mangrove roots.

Upon checking the women found what appeared to be a partly decomposed body of a baby wrapped in a towel.

Investigation continues.
