The Construction Industry Council will be holding it’s 2019 conference in June.

President Gordon Jenkins says as a first conference CIC was concerned that the interest may not be as strong as they had hoped last year.

But with 370 delegates, limited accommodation, an untested trade show, and a conference site off the beaten path, Jenkins says the results were not only gratifying but a strong indication of the importance of the event.

He says with the Grand Pacific Hotel as the conference site this year there will be little trouble for delegates.

The conference is expecting 400 delegates.

A major feature of this year’s conference is the trade show under tent.

Jenkins says there will be 24 exhibitors and this year they will be welcoming anyone in the community to participate in the exhibition.

He says they are now finalizing the programme.
