Dance in Fiji is gradually moving from cultural performances into a profession.
Twelve new and fresh talents took part in the semi-finals of the Nescafe Make Your Move 2 with 2dayFm and they believe it is a boost to their dream career.
Competition Judge, Amit Chand, says judging these young artists was tough as all the participants had a unique style.
“We do look at the ability of a dancer to get the beat, to the flexible, to know their moves and just to show their hidden talent.”
The six participants who made it to the finals include the group dancers and five solo artists – Kurnal Verma, Josiemaraya Ryland, Neha Narayan, Jason Adrian and Shania Dutt.
These participants exhibited their inner talent and will challenge each other in the final which will be held on March 10th at Albert Park in Suva.
