Cyberbullying needs to stop says the Director of Human Rights and Anti-Discrimination Commission, Ashwin Raj.
Raj says this continues to be a major problem in the country.
He says they have received numerous complaints on cyberbullying from people and social media tops the list.
“The point is it’s not for us to judge, we could potentially lose a life because we push that person to a point where the possibility is no longer there to live a life of dignity, so I appeal to people to refrain from making these kinds of remarks on social media”.
Raj adds more needs to be done to educate the people on the consequences of cyberbullying.
