The Lautoka Sugar Mill finally ended its 2015 crushing season late yesterday afternoon.

Fiji Sugar Corporation Executive Chair Abdul Khan told FBC News that following the end of crushing there will now be a lot of work done at the Mill during the slow period.

Khan says similar work is being carried out in the other three sugar mills as well.

The Executive Chair says the 2015 season was consistent thanks to the efforts of mill workers, cane lorry operators, farmers and harvesting gangs.
