More cruise liners are expected to berth at the Suva harbor.

“We are in close coordination with all other agencies like the shipping agent, customs, bio security and also the quarantine services and all that because basically our task is to work with them to promote this kind of inter-agency corporation.”

Piyasena says cruise ship tourism brings numerous positive input for the economy.

Meanwhile, Fiji Ports will upgrade the current facilities in Suva and work on developing a new port facility soon.
