Crown Prince commends Fiji’s peacekeeping efforts

The Crown Prince of Norway Haakon Magnus attended a Wreath Laying Ceremony at the National War Memorial in Veiuto, Nasese yesterday.

Prince Magnus highlighted that both Norway and Fiji have provided Force Commanders to United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).

Fiji and Norway have been working together for almost fifty years in the United Nations and the collaboration between the two countries includes peacekeeping operations in Lebanon, Sudan, and Sinai.

Present at the ceremony was the Minister for Defence, National Security and Foreign Affairs Inia Seruiratu.
