The discovery of a clandestine lab at the Planet Haze nightclub.

Business owners and workers around Beddoes Circle in Namaka, Nadi are still in shock over the discovery of a clandestine lab at the Planet Haze nightclub.

Manager West Form Scaff Sanjash Narayan says they still cannot believe that something of this sort would be right under their nose.

Narayan says they only thought this was a nightclub.

He also adds there was always a lot of activity happening at the nightspot.

“Seeing all the caution tapes around the area was a shock because at first, we thought it was a murder however it was also something big that we never expected.”

Another worker in the area Makareta Ranadi says the nightclub has been operating for more than a decade and the only concerns raised were noise level and drunkards in the morning.

She says this was indeed a very shocking discovery for a clandestine laboratory used to manufacture illicit drugs.

The Police raided the club on Monday night and discovered alleged materials and equipment believed to be used in the manufacturing of the illicit drugs.
