A man who was allegedly found with illicit substances in Nadi on Monday night has been charged.

He was alleged to have in his possession smoking apparatus, clear plastics containing white crystals believed to be methamphetamine and small clear plastic bags containing dried leaves believed to be marijuana during a raid in Sabeto Central.

The accused has been charged with one count of being found in possession of illicit drugs after the analysis conducted on the substances returned positive for illegal drugs.

He will be produced at the Nadi Magistrates Court today.

Meanwhile, the suspect who was intercepted by Police on Navo bridge, Nadi on the same night remains in custody.

Police searched the vehicle he was driving and seized clear plastics containing crystals believed to be methamphetamine, a white plastic containing powder believed to be cocaine and two bullets of dried leaves believed to be marijuana.
