A remand prisoner has escaped from the Suva Court House in the last hour.

Police has confirmed that Niko Rokara Levula allegedly used a vehicle as a getaway.

The vehicle in question is a white Hybrid Taxi with the number LT 4877.

Levula is also charged with one count of burglary, one count of rape, one count of sexual assault and one count of aggravated robbery.

Police are requesting anyone with information or anyone who has seen the vehicle to call Crime Stoppers on 919.
