After issuing a bench warrant, police are unable to locate twenty-year-old Saula Temo, alleged to have been involved in a fatal stabbing at the Suva Foreshore last year.
Temo is charged with one count of murder.
The court heard Temo’s family is unaware of his whereabouts and the state has sent the accused person’s photo to crime stoppers for assistance.
The prosecution will be calling 20 witnesses and the trial may be in absentia.
It is alleged that on May 17th last year at the FDB foreshore, Temo hit 23-year-old Akuila Salavuki with a piece of timber causing his death.
Two men found the deceased lying in a pool of blood the next day.
Temo was arrested after weeks of investigation and received bail.
The two-week trial will start on February 17th.
