Police seek information to apprehend Koro farmer

Police in Koro Island are seeking assistance that could assist in apprehending a twenty-two-year-old farmer of Sinuvaca village.

Chief of Intelligence and Investigation, ACP Vakacegu Toduadua says the man is alleged to have been involved in the cultivation of plants believed to be marijuana.

ACP Toduadua says a total of 21 plants were uprooted from the suspect’s farm by police through public information.

He says investigation is now underway.

Meanwhile a thirty-two-year-old security officer from Nawaka, Nadi is in custody after he was found in possession of eight branches of dried leaves – wrapped in a newspapers believed to be marijuana.

Police say the drugs are yet to be analysed.
