Police release two, take new suspect in custody

Police have taken into custody a new suspect in relation to the death of Ashkan Farsani, a businessman from New Zealand.

Farsani was dropped off outside Suva’s CWM hospital last week with visible stab wounds.

Attempts by medical officials to revive him were unsuccessful.

Police confirm the two men who were in custody last week after surrendering themselves to Police have been released without any charges.

The two are believed to have been inside the vehicle that dropped the victim outside the hospital.

The victim was a businessman from Auckland involved in taro export.

Investigation continues.
