An investigation has begun into a social media post over the weekend concerning Attorney General, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum.

The Facebook post stated, “Khaiyum is wanted dead for $1 million.”

The post which has been shared shows people stating their willingness to take up the offer.

Police Spokesperson Ana Naisoro says the CID has been directed to look into this post.

Naisoro says they are also liaising with the online safety commission.
