A 38-year-old businessman from Narere will be produced in the Nasinu Magistrates Court for allegedly raping a 25-year-old woman.

It is alleged the suspect committed the offence in Narere, last Friday.

The suspect was drinking with the victim’s husband when an argument broke out between the couple.

The victim sought assistance of the suspect whereby he allegedly took her in his car and later raped her.

The suspect is in police custody.

Meanwhile, a 37-year-old man from Tacirua has been charged for allegedly raping a 57-year-old woman.

It’s alleged the accused stole the victim’s mobile and raped the victim in a nearby secluded area.

The alleged incident occurred last Thursday.

The accused will be produced at the Nasinu Magistrates Court today.
