A man found guilty of robbery related charges has been sentenced to five years imprisonment by the Suva High Court.

Richard Allen was found guilty of one count each of aggravated robbery and theft.

The court heard that in January last year in Nasinu, Allen broke into a house and stole assorted items worth more than $1,700.

The High Court judge while sentencing the man said he had 17 previous convictions and violated his bail conditions every time he was released.

A non-parole period of four years has been set.
