The suspect allegedly found with 300 rolls of dried leaves later tested positive to be marijuana has been charged.

He has been charged with one count of found in possession of illicit drugs.

Police had initially arrested the man who is believed to be in his 50s over the weekend for his alleged involvement in the illicit drug trade.

His arrest and subsequent custody was the result of a raid which was conducted on Saturday night at supermarket located along Vitogo Parade in Lautoka.

The accused will be produced at the Lautoka Magistrates Court later today.
