The couple who are charged with the alleged murder of their 2-year-old child will be produced at the Nasinu Magistrates Court today.

It’s alleged that the couple murdered the child last Tuesday.

It’s believed that the victim was lying unconscious in their Nakasi home and was later found by her mother.

She was rushed to the Valelevu health center where she was pronounced dead on arrival.

A post-mortem was conducted where the cause of death revealed that the child had sustained serious injuries resulting in her death.

Upon further inquiry, investigators discovered that the child’s 20-year-old mother and her 28-year-old partner had allegedly been fighting on the night the child was found.

It’s alleged that the child was caught in the middle of the dispute and was allegedly assaulted.
