Police investigators need to focus on their core responsibility and be unwavering in their ethical duties to earn the respect of being professional officers.

Former Judge Nahzat Shameem made the comment while opening a three day Fiji Police Crime Investigation Management Workshop today.

She says their job is to investigate crime, and to ensure that it’s done the right way – police officers should not use unfair or illegal methods of gathering evidence.
