The Nadi Chamber of Commerce and Industry says crime and security remains an issue for the Jetset town and is urging everyone to be on guard.
President, Dr Ram Raju, says more police officers have been assigned for Nadi who are quite visible in town and elsewhere.
Dr Raju says the Chamber is trying to have regular meetings with police in Nadi and as well as the Police Commissioner.
The Chamber is requesting more CCTV cameras and surveillance in most parts of Nadi, Martintar and Namaka to be controlled twenty-four hours a day.
Dr Raju says they will be making a strong submission to the government for duty free allowance for CCTV cameras to combat crime and improve security.
