CPA congress gets underway

August 20, 2015 5:33 am

Fiji needs a market place with new and innovative ideas in order to keep moving forward.

Speaking at the CPA Congress in Nadi today, Acting Prime Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says professionals in Fiji should have the ability to come out in public and be able to give a professional opinion on matters of national interest.

“If we want to move ourselves to the next stage of development and want to take advantage of a very good economic platform that we are on we need to create that market place of new ideas, we need to be able to come out and break up the shell of the past and say look I am giving you this as my professional view as my opinion because the more ideas we have in the market place – the more ideas that we as a government get – the better it is for us to make informed decisions.”
