Televising the Election Petition case is an expensive operation.

Speaking to FBC News, Chief Justice Anthony Gates elaborated on how the venture can be costly, yet pivotal to providing coverage to the people outside the court house.

Gates says while he cannot reveal the whole cost of the setup, they will continue to do this in the future if the need arises for such high profile cases.

“Well I will not give you the cost but its sufficiently expensive, to make it clear we couldn’t do this all the time but for any case that has huge public interest, than we will try and meet the demand.”

Gates says providing televised coverage outside the court house is one measure to avoid people overcrowding in front of the court room while awaiting the outcome of such cases.
