Waisake Tulavu

A 46-year-old pastor charged with four counts of rape and one count of sexual assault was today told to file another bail application with the High Court registry.

The defence submitted that their client was a first offender and the bail application was denied.

The Suva High Court heard that Waisake Tulavu allegedly raped three church members aged 22, 29 and 32 in Nasinu last year.

It is alleged that Tulavu and another 50-year-old senior church pastor Sakiusa Nakutoro raped the three victims.
Nakutoro is charged with one count of rape.

The matter has been adjourned to the 28th of this month for a bail hearing.
