Former Fiji 7s player Amenoni Nasilasila in Suva High Court

Former Fiji 7s player Amenoni Nasilasila who is charged with one count of rape appeared in the Suva High court this morning.

His matter was transferred from the Lautoka High court to Suva.

The state informed the court that they need time to finalize pre-trial conference issues and agreed facts.

26-year-old Nasilasila is alleged to have raped a 24-year-old woman in Olosara, Sigatoka last December.

Nasilasila has pleaded not guilty to his charge

The matter has been adjourned to 3rd May.
