A military officer charged with rape has been granted bail by the Suva High Court.

The state did not object to bail.

It is alleged the 48-year-old officer raped his 17-year-old step-daughter on numerous occasions between 2011 and 2018.

The accused was granted $500 bail bond and has been ordered not to contact the complainant.

The case has been adjourned till the 5th July for the plea.
