Timoci Cakau

Timoci Cakau who is charged with one count of murder has been further remanded by the Suva High Court this morning.

Cakau a hotel security officer, is alleged to have murdered 52-year-old Ratu Emosi Seru Tagivakatini on Christmas Eve last year.

The incident happened at a nightclub in Suva when the accused allegedly assaulted Ratu Emosi.

The case was transferred to be trialled in the High Court as murder is an indictable offence.

First call matters were discussed today and State requested time to file disclosures.

The case has been adjourned to March 18th.
