Man who is alleged to have stabbed a Police Officer to death in Lautoka has been told by the Lautoka High Court to engage a lawyer.

Vilimoni Lalaobouma is charged with one count of murder and faces three more counts of serious offences for two separate cases.

The 19-year-old is alleged to have allegedly stabbed Police Officer Siuta Niumataiwalu in the process of being arrested.

Lalaobouma has been told that a Legal Aid application form will be provided to him which he will need to fill and give it to the escorting officer.

The matter has been adjourned to the 21st of this month for the accused of seeking Legal Aid representation.
